At Clarity for Change, I strive to provide compassionate, trauma-informed mental health therapy services for adolescents, adult individuals, families, and couples.

I specialize in working with clients who want to heal childhood wounds, quiet their inner critic, break free from perfectionism and people-pleasing tendencies and minimize their "survival mode" ways of living. I also specialize in working with clients struggling with anxiety, relational issues, depression and chronic shame.
Many of my clients grew up in chaotic and/or emotionally invalidating environments where they had to find ways to feel safe. This led to “learned behaviors” which helped them survive and cope during this period of life. As adults, they are finding that these old patterns and behaviors are no longer serving them. They recognize that these patterns have led to internal feelings of anxiety, guilt, shame and a harsh inner critic.

If this sounds like you, you may overthink constantly, spiral into worst-case scenarios, feel "stuck" and react and respond to situations from your heightened emotions. You may find it hard to identify what you’re deeply feeling, often looking externally to obtain validation and reassurance. You may struggle in interpersonal relationships, finding it hard to trust, get your needs met and/or feel worthy of love and connection. You might crave approval from others while also being highly sensitive to rejection.
You are exhausted and want to get out of this cycle. You believe that living this way is no longer serving you and you are ready to create a more compassionate, authentic relationship with yourself.

In therapy, we’ll explore the root causes of these patterns, not just the presenting symptoms. Drawing from Internal Family Systems (IFS), DBT, mindfulness practices, psychodynamic therapy, and CBT, I’ll help you process past trauma/childhood experiences, regulate overwhelming emotions and begin shifting from negative/unhelpful thoughts to a more healthy and balanced way of thinking.
